Chances are you've already heard this number, and if you haven't... where have you been? I chose this to be the lead single from the album because I felt it was a good representation of where I was going in terms of tone just general weirdness.
The phrase "Weirdo-Crazy Robot-Lady" had been in my head for a few years (I had used it to describe a software system from an old job to a co-worker at the time) and thought it would be fun to play around with a vocoder. The two ideas ended up working really well together and ended up being my heaviest song to date.
In contrast to how I usually write music, particularly the lyrics, I like everything I do to come from a place of purpose. So i challenged myself to write something that didn't necessarily have any meaning, but could be perceived as having intent. In an ironic twist, the song ended with the specific purpose of not being about anything even though that wasn't my intent. Swings and roundabouts.
