Human Woman
"silent voices echo out"
Human WomanPaperSailor
00:00 / 03:05
This song is about the notion that we live in the 21st century, and women are still forced to fight for their safety. For equality. I tried to write the lyrics so that they can be applied to similar issues, such as LGBTQ+ or racial rights, but I wrote it specifically with women in mind.
Musically speaking, I actually wrote this song pretty much right after the first album came out, and it hasn't changed that much, but I definitely spent way too long pouring over every facet, every minute detail. To the point where I had grown so weary of the song, I was extremely hesitant to even record it and include it on the album.
Until I listened back to the finished version. It's just a balls to the wall power house of loud, grungy guitars contrasted with the subdued electronic-based verses building the tension.

Human woman
The bubble's burst, so know their worth
'Cause we are all human too, man
Yeah, you don't care

Try to reprove
You'll get burned at every turn
So what are you trying to prove?
Yeah, you don't care

C.
These poisonous thoughts
They still remain
Like blood from a stone
With naught to gain

Silent voices
Echo out, no sign of doubt
We wanna know where their voice is
Yeah, you don't care

More excuses
So counterfeit, you're full of it
So sick of it, so please excuse us
Yeah, you don't care

C.
These poisonous thoughts
They still remain
Like blood from a stone
With naught to gain
